Grizzled Wizard Stocking Hat
The Grizzled Wizard Stocking Hat is a long, pointed, striped stocking hat with various optional (detachable!) dangles on the end.
It includes my own mini-tutorial for creating detachable tassels.
It is a great hat for expressing your personality, and also for using up scraps and stash.
This hat is remarkably stretchy and versatile and fits most adults and teens.
You will need a main color and various contrasting colors in heavy worsted weight yarns. I knitted this model with Lion Brand Heartland and numerous stripes of Lion Brand Amazing and Wool-ease Solids, all the same weight.
It is knit in the round using circular and/or double pointed needles. The magic loop method can be used.
I also used several free patterns for baubles in this hat. hey are linked in the directions. Specifically, I used The Honeycomb Bauble, by Frankie Brown and Star Decoration by Lucy of Attic24. I wish to thank these two deisgners for providing me with unique adornments for this hat!
