Groovy Potential Top
Please read this before purchasing my pattern (DISCLAIMER)
Due to my cognitive disabilities, I am unable to do e.g. size gradings and coordinate a large test. For this reason, this pattern comes in one size only and in English only. However I am doing my very best to offer a well written pattern and include size modification tips.I have been holding back my designs due to the above, but adventurous knitters have encouraged me to publish my patterns. They tell me, they are able to make their own modifications, and I want to accommodate them with my patterns.
Pay what you wish
I offer my patterns at a variable price structure. I’d like the acknowledgement of the work behind a design, but I also acknowledge that I don’t offer an extensive instruction. So I will let you decide what the right price is for you. Feel free to use the coupons below at check-out.Coupon

The Groovy Potential Top is a versatile basic fitted top with a ruffled skirt, which can be customized after your own liking. You can knit it with a rib collar or a two-colored brioche collar. And you can knit it in one color, with stripes, or even with lace.
In the design process, I made 3 samples. The striped blue-green version is the final design. In the process I tried different techniques, and I decided to add my favorites to the final pattern as different variant options. Feel free to choose the ones you like.
The yellow prototype has a two-colored brioche collar. The pattern includes instructions for both a rib collar and a brioche collar. The yellow has a different striping technique, where the first row with a new color is purled for a fun textual transition to the new color.
The purple prototype has lace in the center front and on the skirt. The lace chart is not included in the pattern (because of rights). If you would like to get the exact same lace pattern I used, you will need to acquire the book Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible by Hitomi Shida (ISBN-10: 4805314532 / ISBN-13: 9784805314531). The pattern includes information on how to incorporate it. The pattern also gives instructions on how to choose your own lace pattern, and also when to place it. But hereafter you will need to be able to incorporate the lace pattern on your own on every round.
The Groovy Potential Top is knitted seemingless top down and with some very neat shaping constructions. It has some really nice increases in the collar. It has raised neck shaping, puff shoulders, and the increases in the collar and in the yoke is somewhat inspired from the contiguous shoulder construction method by Susie Myers.
The yoke is short and fitted. The body has waist shaping. The skirt is parted from the body with horizontal stitches and then a bind off followed immediately by a cast on for a neat transition to the skirts extra stitches. Both sleeves and skirt is binded off with the i-cord bind off method.
Size/measurements
This pattern comes in 2 sizes only (see photos with finished measurements), however the size of the top is adjustable. Please read the disclaimer on the Ravelry pattern page.
The pattern includes several tips on how to make size modifications. I recommend reading the section Tips on changing the size beforehand.
The pattern also includes the amount of stitches/rounds/rows used in the sample, hence the top can be knitted in the same size as the sample.
