This block starts at a corner with only 2 chains. It keeps its square shape after every row, so you can make it as large as you like (hence the name, growing block). Crochet until you have the right size, or until you run out of yarn.

The pattern contains written instructions for the first few rows, and a recipe on how to keep adding more rows. It also contains a chart of the first 6 rows. You can use any yarn as long as you use a hook to match.
