Growing Leaves Shawl
Growing Leaves Shawl is knit from neck down following a charted pattern and can be knit in any yarn, though lace weight or light fingering weight yarn is suggested.
The finishing is made by crocheting, but it is also possible to cast off stitches by knitting.
Gauge isn’t critical on this shawl. Note that bigger needle size increases the yardage and bigger needle size and/or thicker yarn means a bigger shawl and vice versa. Flexibility of chosen yarn also affects a lot to the final size.
Size shown: length neck down 33.5 inches/85 cm, width 78 inches/200 cm (knit with 5.5 mm needles)
Note that yardage may vary a lot depending on your yarn choice and needle size.
Skills: basic lace knitting, chart reading, crocheting (chain stitch and crochet stitch)
Growing Leaves Shawl pattern is now available also in Portuguese.
