Dear Knitter!
There is an old Finnish song that tells a story of a boy who wants to be a guardian of the wild spruce forrest. This song gave me the inspiration to knit these socks. At first I designed these socks for my daughter’s godfather and then I also knitted them for my father-in-law as a birthday present. These socks that you are about to start are made for a real man! There will be a lot of wild spruce and fallen cones on your way. Socks will be on male size. If you want to knit smaller socks I recommend you to try knitting with thinner yarn and smaller needles. This pattern includes both written instructions and charts.

Nämä sukat suunnittelin alunperin tyttäreni kummille ja neuloin ne myös appiukolleni syntymäpäivälahjaksi. Olet nyt aloittamassa sukat jotka suunniteltiin tosimiehelle! Jylhää kuusikkoa ja maahan varisseita käpyjä on siis luvassa. Ohjeen sukista tulee melko isot. Pienempää kokoa halutessasi voit vaihtaa langan ohuempaan ja puikot pienemmiksi.
