Guardians
These hats are inspired by one of my favorite video games. This pattern is a complete hat pattern that has optional instructions for several variations. Such as striping, a folded and seamed double brim, and fitted or slouchy length to the hat.
There are 4 different charts, one for each symbol. Make one hat for your favorite or several! You have all the instructions and charts needed in one pattern!
If you are a tight knitter please knit a swatch and make sure your gauge is right (adjust your needle size accordingly). These hats are designed with negative ease and fit close to your head without a whole lot of stretch due to the pattern. If you or the recipient have a larger head I’d suggest going up a needle size or even knit this hat in a sport weight yarn.
It is highly recommended that you have experience knitting colorwork and working a provisional cast-on (optional, you can do a regular brim if wanted). YouTube has some wonderful tutorial videos on these methods that I suggest you check out, even if you just need a reminder.
