Level: intermediate. (For colour changes/counting in a grid)
This tapestry is created using 6 colours minimum, some with quick colour changes. Confidence in following a grid pattern is important, especially with the letters. Stitches are simple, and the only points of caution are quick colour changes and keeping count in your line/grid.

Finished size (of tapestry only): versions with text
Height: 31 ½” (80 cm)
Width- 19” (48.5 cm)
* for finished dimensions you’ll need to factor in the width of the dowel (at least 2” wider), hanging method (will add to height), as well as the fringe length if you’re including one (will also add to the height).
A version without text will be smaller/shorter (and if you add your own variation of text, it can also effect the height or width- keep this in mind if you’re using a dowel to hang. Measure off your finished piece if you’re altering your grid)

Supplies:
• 4mm hook
• Yarn needle (for attaching tapestry to the dowel)
• Worsted weight Yarn (weight- Medium/4): amounts vary depending on lettering. Approximately 362 yards/331 meters for the main background colour (with lettering shown).
• Wooden dowel or hanging method of choice (I used a ¾” dowel with 1” allowance on either side. So, a 21” long dowel for a 19” finished tapestry piece).
