Guinea Pig
It was World Book Day I designed this little fellow for.
I saw an illustration by Beatrix Potter - one I’d never seen before, the image is of a group of guinea pigs doing the gardening and it’s the sweetest little picture I have seen in a long time!
So I looked up Beatrix Potter and searched ‘guinea pigs’ and found that she had also created a little book character called Tuppenny - so this is Tuppenny - my version.
It’s apparently an ‘Agouti’ guinea pig/ short haired - but oh boy - I know that some of you will attempt a long haired Peruvian; a Silkie; and of course - an Abyssinian!
And I cannot wait!
So please share yours over in my Facebook #imadethisrabbit page and my Instagram @dotpebbles_knits!
As always I design my patterns with minimal seams although still knitted flat and joined as you go. For this pattern the arms and ears are joined after knitted.
Everything is clear to understand with very straight forward how-to-make images scattered throughout the pattern - and I’m always on hand if you need pattern assistance - but please email me for that!
