Inspired by the pattern, EZ 100th Anniversary PI Shawl: Gull Wings, this scarf is sure to become one of your favorites! The pattern is written with 2 sizes: small and large, for more styling and wearing options!

This pattern is written and charted. It is started at the center back with a provisional cast on and worked to one end. Then the 2nd half is worked from the live stitches of the provisional cast on to the other end. The lace scarf is worked mostly in stockinette stitch with garter stitch on the left and right edges.

I used 72 grams of yarn for each of these scarves: approx 275 yards for the small size (with Patons Kroy Socks) and 425 yards for the large size (with Patons Lace).

A few years ago, when I was a newer knitter, I saw the inspirational shawl on Ravelry and I didn’t feel that I had the skills necessary to knit either the full circle shawl or the half circle shawl. But I loved the stitch patterns so much that I decided to design a scarf with those stitch patterns, and my Gull Wings Scarf was born! I hope you enjoy this scarf as much as I do!

Many thanks to KBFibers and knottynic for testing this pattern!
