Have you ever purchased a fabulous skein of sock yarn, but you weren’t thrilled by the way the color knits up in your socks? “Gumball” pooling may be just the answer! Those short bits of color explode into “gumballs” for your feet! Bring on the thrill!

As you knit, the gumballs will appear as lumps in the knitted fabric. Not to worry, these flatten out when the sock is washed. This is a great time to try knitting backwards if you’d rather not keep turning!

400-450 yards (365-412meters) fingering weight yarn. Model was knit with Ewe So Happy Sock in colorway “Skate Party”
