Gumdrop is a shallow triangular shawl worked in simple Stockinette Stitch, making it a perfect project for adventurous beginners. Starting at the top center, this pattern is fully customizable, allowing you to adjust the size to create anything from a cozy shawlette (think cross between a shawl and a cowl) to a full-sized wrap. Simply cast on, knit, and try it on as you go to decide your ideal size!
Edge Finishing Options:

  • Knitted Bobble Edging: A playful pom-pom-inspired trim worked separately and attached with a 3-needle bind-off.

  • Crochet Shell Trim: A
    beginner-friendly crochet edge that
    even non-crocheters can tackle.

  • Eyelet Edge: A minimalist finish—just bind off after completing the eyelet
    rows—no edging required.

Endless color possibilities! Create stripes, bold color blocks, or keep it timeless with a solid hue. Running low on yarn? No problem—add a contrasting color for an edge that looks stylishly intentional.
