THIS PATTERN IS WRITTEN IN ENGLISH
This pattern is easy to follow but requires basic crochet knowledge.
This pattern is written in English.
It is written in US terms but easy to convert to UK.

Material Requirements
The Gorilla that has been crocheted for this pattern, was made using a yarn called
Yarnart jeans, I used the following colours.
Charcoal approx 120g
Grey approx 40g
Small amount of white for the eye outline.
Optional banana
Yellow approx 5g
Brown small amount.
Polyester toy stuffing
Eyes 24mm (plastic safety eyes or glass looped eyes).
This yarn is a 4ply/sport/fine 2 weight.
You can use any weight yarn for this pattern it will just give a larger finished size.
Crochet Hook
2.00mm
Size
Using this weight yarn and size hook will give you a Gorilla roughly measuring
30cm/12 inches measured from the feet to the top of the head,
17cm/ 7 inches from side to side,
25cm/ 10 inches from bum to front of the head.
Useful items
Scissors
Tapestry needle used for sewing in ends/attaching ears
Stitch markers
Abbreviations
All the crochet stitches used in this pattern are based on American crochet terms
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
hdc= half double
trc = treble crochet
inc= increase
dec= decrease
Sl st= slip stitch
rnd= round
If you are planning to make your Gorilla in a heavier weight yarn, adjust your hook size accordingly. Use the smallest hook size possible for the weight of yarn that you are using. You need the stitches tight so the stuffing doesn’t show too much between stitches. I recommend making a test motif to gauge tension.
