This easy to knit hat shows off a special skein of highly variegated yarn, especially those with short or subtle color changes. A great pattern for beginners, you need only know how to join in the round, knit, purl, and work simple decreases.

The relaxed circumference of hat is 16, 18, 20”/40.5, 46, 51 cm which stretches to fit 18¼, 21, 23½”/46, 53, 60 cm head (child, adult small/medium, adult large). This hat include 2-3” of negative ease. Finished hat will stretch to fit the head sizes listed above as well as those slightly above and below the listed head sizes. If you are between sizes, choose a size based on whether you prefer a tight or loose fit to your hats.
