Eagle wings for when you feel the need to soar.
I felt the need for a giant shawl. I’m sure I can’t be the only one who has felt that itch. A shawl that you can curl up into, that can pull triple duty as a wrap, a scarf, and a blanket. A real knit-for-all-occasions-cold. I felt inspired by the giant eagles in the Lord of the Rings books to make a shawl reminiscent of huge feathered wings, and Gwaihir was born.
Knit with bulky yarn on US 13 needles, this shawl knits up quickly and is perfect for layering when you really need to bundle up, or to tossing over your shoulders to keep away a mild evening chill.
