Lacy yarn is amazing! For this skirt we use it to cast on and to embellish the skirt both. The skirt is pictured with a companion jacket from earlier in this book. The skirt is not sideways knitted but it seemed a shame not to offer them together. The skirt may be any length you wish. In my opinion, the standard gauge is the nicest version of the skirt as the thinner fabric tends to drape better so if you have a choice, I’d suggest you choose it. Select a yarn that gets 7 stitches/10 rows/inch for the standard version, 5.5 stitches/8 rows/inch for mid-gauge or 4 stitches/6 rows/inch for the bulky version.Select yarns that will keep their shape well. The stitch size should be somewhere in the middle of the dial to get these gauges. The ruffle yarn is Red Heart Sashay in any color.
