Hackberry Trail Shawl
Asymmetric, diagonally knit shawl with lots of fun texture!!
Knitting begins at one end with a cast on of only four stitches. Increases and decreases are done at the edges to form the elongated, shallow triangle shape. There is lots of relaxing garter stitch with some added slip stitches, simple lace, and fun bobbles.
Gauge is not super important in this shawl. Just make sure you are producing a fabric that you like. If you are a tight knitter, you may want to go up a needle size.
Size: 92 inches (234 cm) along the longest edge and 17 inches (43 cm) at the deepest point.
Yarn used is this sample:
Green Mountain Spinnery Sylvan Spirit, 50% Fine American Wool/50% Tencel. 180yds/165m per 2 oz skein.
C1- one skein Peridot
C2- one skein Antique Brass
C3- two skeins Jade
I personally love this shape as it drapes beautifully without being bulky.
Happy Knitting!!
