The Acoma Collection of three shawls and three cowls is inspired by the beautiful Acoma pottery. Each design is named for one of the spelling variations of ‘Acoma’. Techniques include intarsia, slipped stitches and stranded colorwork.
Hacus
A boomerang-shaped asymmetrical shawl with square dot slip-stitch stripes, worked on the bias from the right tip. The square dot stripes entail small amounts of intarsia near the selvage edges of the shawl. Work from charts or written instructions. This design is resizable and is suitable for fingering to worsted weight yarns. Remember to adjust yardage for different yarns.
