Hadau a Cheblau
This “pattern”is available in 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 64, and 72 stitch sizes. When coupled with yarn weight variations, this makes for 15 potential sizes.
This is a formula for a ribbed and textured cabled sock. It assumes you are familiar with basic sock construction.
You may use your preferred toe, heel, and bindoff. I have written out instructions for an Elegant Toe, but not short row heels, or heel flap heels. However, I have provided helpful links if you are not familiar with how to do those.
The sock pattern is written for top down or toe-up, and will look great either direction.
Materials:
- Fingering weight yarn, 400-460 yards to 100 grams (Sport yarn 200-250 yds)
- 2 or 4 stitch markers
- Cable needle
Needle size: 4DPNs or Circular needle(s) in size:
US 1-1.5 (2.25-2.5mm) for fingering, US 2-3 (2.75mm-3mm) for sport weight, US 5 (3.75mm) for doubled fingering, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge is important to size. The pattern is designed with just a little negative ease. You should get 8-9 st/11-12 rows to the inch for fingering, 7st/9 rows for Sport weight, 6st/8 rows for fingering doubled
