The Haedal Cardigan is inspired by the adorable sea otter(pronounced “Haedal” in Korean), evoking the gentle
waves of the ocean and the playful waddle of the otter. The cardigan is filed with charming patterns representing
the swaying seaweed and the otter, bringing a sense of joy. The slightly irregular cable patterns, twisted from
traditional cables, blend together harmoniously to create a classic, yet unique look.

The Haedal Cardigan is worked in a top-down construction, creating a natural shoulder line without the use of
short rows. It begins at the back neckline, working down to form the back. Stitches are picked up from the back
shoulder slope to work each front panel separately. Once the armhole increases are complete, the front and back
are joined to work the body. While working the body, the pockets are also worked. Pick up sts along the neckline
to create the colar, and pick up sts around the armholes to work the sleeves in the round. Finaly, picked up along
the front edges to finish the button band.

For alternative yarns, worsted-aran weight yarns are recommended. Using worsted weight results in a soft cardigan, while aran weight gives it a cozy jacket-like feel.

바닷속 흔들거리는 해조류와 뒤뚱거리는 해달을 표현한 사랑스러운 무늬들로 가득합니다.
보편적인 케이블들을 조금씩 비틀어 만든, 다소 불규칙적인 패턴들은 의외로 조화롭게 섞이며 클래식한 무드로 완성됩니다.

탑다운 형식으로 제작되며, 경사 뜨기 없이 자연스러운 어깨선을 만듭니다.
뒷목부터 시작하여 뒤판을 만든 후, 뒤판 경사에서 코를 주워 양쪽 앞판을 각각 진행합니다.
암홀 늘림이 끝나면 양쪽 앞판과 뒤판을 연결하여 한 번에 떠내려갑니다.
몸통을 진행하는 동시에 주머니를 작업하고, 암홀에서 코를 주워 원통 뜨기로 소매를 만듭니다.
목둘레에서 코를 주워 카라를 만들고, 앞판 엣지에서 코를 주워 버튼 밴드 마무리합니다.

도안은 서술형으로 진행되며, 케이블 패턴은 차트로 표기합니다.
도안 마지막에 첨부된 뒤판/앞판 차트는 암홀 늘림 전까지 표기되어 있습니다.
