Celebrating Valentine’s Day with flowers that wilt and high calorie treats always seemed a bit contradictory to the meaning of the holiday. To me, a symbol of love is something that is everlasting and deeply personal, showing that my partner is actually thinking of me (and not doing something out of obligation).
