Half Hex Shawlette
Another great design by guest designer Joanna Curley, this simple shawlette uses carefully placed increases to creates a half hexagon shape that’s easy to wear. Featured in a Blossom gradient cake the simple stitchwork lets the color transitions shine.
Yarn: Wonderland Yarns “Mary Ann Blossom” sock/fingering weight, 475 yards/4 oz cake; 85% superwash merino & 15% nylon: 1 cake: shown in Limited Edition Colorway “Chaetopod”
Note: you can knit a larger sized version with 2 cakes, alternating from one cake and another as you work to keep the color shifts continuous
Needles & Notions: US size 6/ 4mm circular needles, 32”/ 81cm or longer OR size needed to get proper gauge, 2 different stitch markers, yarn needle
Gauge: 48 sts & 31 rounds = 4”/ 10cm in garter stitch, blocked
Measurements: 43”/ 109cm across at widest point and 12.5”/32cm deep, blocked
