I am totally in love with linen and half linen stitch. They are such a wonderful way to show off variegated yarns. Plus, it’s more interesting than rows and rows of stockinette. So, this afghan pattern shows you how to actually keep nice linen stitch sections as you increase. The afghan is knit from the center out, so you can make it any size you want. Once you’re done, it’s a nice, warm, thick afghan. Perfect for snuggling on cold days.
I designed the afghan to use two strands of worsted yarn held together. That makes it a great use for odd balls, leftovers, and off dyelots. Because you can change any one strand at any time, it blends better and helps avoid holes when you change yarns.
