Rag rugs are a lot of fun to make. They’re heavy duty, machine washable, and they’ll last many years. Make them with solid, random or coordinating colors that fit your decor. Using old sheets or leftover fabric is a great way to recycle those unused extras and help the environment. If you don’t have the fabric you need on hand, be sure to search thrift stores or yard sales for affordable materials in fabulous colors.
This pattern includes directions for one size half moon rag rug. There is a photo tutorial that shows how to make fabric yarn from sheets and other fabric. It also includes photos to assist with seamlessly changing colors and attaching new balls of fabric/yarn.
