Half-Pipe Hat
This pattern has also been published as Have a Ball - Half Pipe Hat in Simply Knitting 37, February 2008.
Pattern description from Son of Stitch ‘n Bitch: “If a watch cap and a baseball cap had a baby, it would be this simple brimmed cap. And in the past year or so, it is this style of cap that seems to have become the winter headgear of choice for all types of men here in New York City--from skater boys to hip-hoppers, jocks to indie rockers, janitors to baristas. For sale everywhere at street-corner vendors as well as high-end hipster boutiques, the cap is almost always constructed just as it is in this pattern: as a standard, circular-knit tubelike cap, with decreasing at the crown, that’s folded up at the bottom and has a C-shaped brim stuck in and stitched down. Of course, this Half-Pipe Hat is a few steps up from the rest, as it is made in luxuriously soft baby camel hair yarn. And since it requires only two balls of the stuff, it’s an affordable extravagance. Half-Pipe Hat is a quick project and an easy gift for every man in your life.”
