Pattern based on mittens from museum collection. The original mittens were made by Icelandic knitter Jóhanna Finnsdóttir (1866-1960) and given to the Textile museum in 2014.

Size of the finished mitten: length 29 cm (including the 9 cm cuff) and 18 cm circumference

Gauge: 36 stitches and 38 rows in colourwork with 2.5 mm needles (after washing and blocking)
