I went looking for a fun Halloween hat, but all I could find were patterns for children, so I decided to design my own. It is made with worsted weight yarn and a large hook in only 19 rnds, so it will make up quickly. The pattern is an old-fashioned stitch - crocheted ribbing. It was popular when I was a child, but I have not seen it used lately. If you want to do so, you can also make it in the traditional Indian corn colors, white, orange and brown.

I have included a picture of the hat made in a solid color, so you can make it for any occasion.
