Hallow-in Humpfree is the second in the series of Crochet Stories patterns by Hookanory, continuing the adventures of Humpfree the Rainbow Humpty, who is feeling a little glum about having to stay in at Halloween. I wrote it hoping it will make kids (and adults perhaps) feel better about Halloween in lockdown too!

This pattern has an accompanying short story that you are welcome to download and share with your gifting of this make. As an ex textiles teacher and visual learner I know many people (including myself) struggle when trying to read pattern instructions and abbreviations; So this pattern has been designed specifically with beginners in mind and includes colour coded ‘long-hand’ instructions so you can tick of the rounds as you go, with photo illustrations and detailed notes for making up.

If you find colour changing too tricky you can always make this pattern using a DK weight ‘self-striping’ yarn such as ‘Stylecraft Wondersoft Merry-Go-Round’ which comes in a fantastic range of colour blends including ‘Purple Fizz’, ‘Rainbow’ and ‘Dark Rainbow’ colour-ways.

Hookanory is the brand name for new designer Debbie Ward, aiming to encourage fun, high success outcomes from simple patterns and designs. Please check out my designer profile for more patterns & crochet stories.

I hope you will join me on my crochet journey and please sahre your makes with me on Ravelry or join my “Hookanory Crochet Club” makers group on social media.

I hope you enjoy making Hallow-in Humpfree!

Happy Hooking Folks & Yolks

Much love Debxx
