Halloween Moth and Bat Hat
This Halloween themed hat has a ribbed brim and a stocking stitch body with a Fair Isle (stranded colour) moth and bat repeat pattern encircling the lower section of the hat body. The motifs are worked using only two colours in a row which makes this an ideal pattern for those new to Fair Isle. The hats pictured are worked using a wool and acrylic mix DK/light worsted weight yarn and could be topped with a pompom, although you would need to allow additional yarn for this.
The pattern covers sizes from baby to adult and the instructions are written for both knitting in the round using a circular needle with no seaming necessary or knitting flat on two needles with a seam at the back. (You may, therefore, only wish to print the appropriate pages for your project.)
