Halloweenies Halloween Throw
Halloweenies throw is a medium sized easy to follow project, with video support and photo-tutorials.
Setup and the first 6 round are explained on my YouTube channel and the links are in the pattern (for interlocking filet crochet and overlay mosaic crochet). The patterns in the round are suitable for people who already understand the interlocking filet crochet or overlay mosaic crochet technique. The row to row versions are suitable for beginners.
Halloweenies needs approximately 1400 m (1450 y) of a darker yarn, and 1800 m (1880 y) of a contrasting lighter colour
Size depends on tension, yarn choice and hook size.
For interlocking: from centre out 96 rounds or row to row 115 by 96 windows
For overlay mosaic: from centre out 93 rounds or row to row 137 stitches by 179 rows
Size depends on yarn and hook size. My version (in the pictures) is done with a 3mm (C2) hook measures 75 by 90 cm, 29 by 35 inches
With hook size 5,5 mm (I) it will be 140 by 180 cm (55 by 70 inches)
This pattern is extensive and has all the techniques, so you choose which one suits you:
Interlocking filet crochet row to row (pattern colour only contains solids)
Interlocking filet crochet SOLID row to row (both colours have solids, no more netting)
Interlocking filet crochet in the round (pattern colour only contains solids)
Interlocking filet crochet SOLID in the round (both colours have solids, no more netting)
Overlay Mosaic crochet row to row (yarn needs to be cut at the end)
Overlay Mosaic crochet in the round (no fringe, no cutting yarn)
All patterns have charts, written pattern and where needed a video or photo tutorials. My free Facebook tutorials are included as a link.
In my picture version I changed the pattern colour each 4th row and inversed the dark and light colour (more information and yarn used in the pattern)
