I have designed this easy crochet halter top pattern with basic crochet stitches using US terminology of chains, single crochet and half double crochets so it is not complicated but still has an overall affect of looking fabulous. For UK crocheters there is a stitch conversion for you. This gorgeous original handmade design crochet cotton halter top will look great on the beach, at your next festival or just a top you can throw on and wear every day.

The pattern has sizing for 3 basic ladies sizes of small (6-8), medium (10-12) and large (14-16). There is some felixibility with these sizes as the top will stretch and move with you. The model in my images is wearing the small (6-8) size. There is a tip in the pattern for you to make the top to fit your exact measurements.

I have made this bag using Epic Yarn which is a 10 ply cotton yarn so it is comfy to wear and easy to wash. The halter strap at the top is adjustable. The top fastens at the back with buttons. I have used 3 buttons on the small size and 4 buttons for the medium and large sizes.

You can make this top using one colour throughout but if you want to tackle stripes I have included a handy tutorial taking you through each step. This will make your top neater and easier to finish as there will not be any yarn ends to thread into your work. There are also no seams to join as the top is worked as one piece.MATERIALS

I used Epic Yarn but any cotton, cotton/acrylic or a bamboo style natural yarn would also work well.

Medium (10-12)
Bottom (will wrap around your waist): 75cm Across
Back (where button fastens): 15cm High
Top (taken from neckline to bottom of scallops - straps not included): 37cm
Sides (taken from neckline to the edge of the back strap): 28cm

Large (12-14)
Bottom (will wrap around your waist): 88cm Across
Back (where button fastens): 16cm High
Top (taken from neckline to bottom of scallops - straps not included): 40cm
