Twined knitting, two end knitting, or tvåändsstickning, is a beatiful old Scandinavian technique that may be a bit tricky to learn, as it is mostly knit with thin yarn and thin needles and two strands of the same colour. These fingerless mitts however are knit with two colours of thicker yarn so that you A: can see what you are doing, and B: finish the project! They can also be knit without purling.

The suggested yarn is used doubled, please consider this when substituting. One 50 g ball of each of the two main colours is plenty, plus maybe 5 meters/yards of a contrasting colour.

The mitts are knit in the round on the smaller suggested needle. One larger straight needle is needed for the twined cast on.

Tvåändsstickning är en gammal vacker teknik som kan vara lite pilligt att lära sig eftersom den oftast stickas med tunnt garn och tunna stickor. De här halvvantarna är dock stickade med tjockt garn i två färger på stickor 4 mm så att man A: ser vad man håller på med, och B: blir klar nån gång! De kan dessutom stickas med enbart räta maskor.

Det föreslagna garnet används dubbelt, tänkt på det vid ev garnbyte. Ett 50 g nystan av de två färgerna räcker och blir över, plus kanske 5 meter av kontrastfärgen.

Vantarna rundstickas med den mindre stickan. En större rak jumpersticka behövs till tvåändsuppläggningen.
