The Halvard Scarf is a rectangular textured scarf worked in knit and purl stitches. The invisible cast-on and bind-off are used to give an elegant edge to your ribbing. The pattern contains both written and charted instructions. You can customize the length by adding more repeats of the texture pattern, and it is easy to memorize, which makes it a great design to carry around with you!

The Halvard Scarf is named after my husband, because I lovingly designed it for him. This pattern is for a knitter who wants a simple project she can work on while she sits in her bed, before going to sleep at night; or when she wakes up in the morning, as a meditative moment for herself, before starting the day. You will like the fact that you won’t have to carry around the pattern, and can pick it up and put it down when you desire. But there is a little challenge or something new for you, while working the tubular cast-on/bind-off.
