Gauge isn’t overly important with this. I wanted to make these big enough for little hands to be able to grab and play with, but feel free to go down a hook size from what I recommend to make them smaller and more life like.

Very small amounts of scrap yarn are fine for this project. I think the most yarn I used was for the hamburger bun and even that was the smallest amount out of my skein.
