Learn the basic skills needed to successfully knit lace! Start with single yarn overs and simple decreases, then progress to more complex lace; new stitches are introduced one at a time so they can be mastered before moving on to the next skill.

This pattern is adapted from the Learn to Knit Lace Scarf. The scarf is worked from a Provisional Cast On at the center, out to the ends. One half is knit first, then the provisional cast on scrap yarn is removed, and the second half is constructed.
