Hammer Cap
100% of proceeds from this pattern will be donated at the end of each week to rescue.org to benefit refugees!
The Hammer Cap was designed to be warm and snug for refugees arriving to cold climates in wintertime. The sand and wind cable pattern recalls desert vistas and is dense, squishy, and insulating. It’s basically a warm hug in a hat.
Named for my ancestor Austin Hammer, who was a religious refugee, all proceeds from this pattern will be donated to rescue.org. If you would like to donate your knitted hat, the pattern has info for that, as well.
The Hammer Cap is knit with 100 g (or less) of worsted yarn and knits up quickly. Make several in different sizes for your family, yourself, or to donate!
Please feel free to spread the word about the Hammer Cap and the effort to collect and donate knitted goods on social media using the hashtags #hammercap and #knittersforrefugees. And thank you so much for your support! Happy knitting!
