These socks are knitted with traditional Fair-Isle colours and patterns. The yarn is knit doubled to give a thicker sock and knit at quite a firm tension. Both sizes follow the same pattern but the gents version is knit on a slightly larger needle with a looser tension of 27sts & 31rs over 10cm. There is three colourways. The socks are knit from the cuff down with an afterthought heel which is knit the same as the toe. The yarn is worsted spun so has a very smooth soft handle. Jamieson’s of Shetland Double Knitting can be used as a substitute yarn.
