Hampton Capelet
Wow, I love this capelet. I am a big-time turtleneck girl and wanted to make something warm and snuggly for myself and this is IT! Guaranteed compliments for sure.
It’s crocheted in the round with a super chunky bulky weight yarn and works up very quickly with a large size “N” and “P” crochet hooks. You’ll be ready to wear this in no time! The best part? This is a super easy pattern and one continuous piece, crocheted from the top down. No sewn seams!
A beginner’s understanding of the following stitches is necessary:
Slip stitch, Single crochet, Double crochet
Finished Measurements:
16” from top of cowl to bottom edge. Cowl is 8” down and 19” around. Body is 8” down and 50” around without stretching. It is pictured on a size 8 dress form and as you can see it is very roomy. I have included suggestions for making this pattern larger/longer.
