Handheld Fans Blanket
When I find a stitch that is fun and easy to do, I try to make a square blanket with it. Square blankets are what got me going with crochet. I felt confident that they were going to come out evenly and look nice even though I was still learning. This blanket is perfect for that. The pattern it makes looks like little handheld fans to me.
This is technically a 4-row repeat, but it is more like a 1-row repeat with 4 different corners. The best part is that you can end on any of the 4 rows, no border needed.
My finished blanket is about 30”x30”. Complete as many rows as you want for the size blanket you want. Guage is not important. Use whatever size yarn and hook you want.
Supplies:
- 1 cake of Caron Skinny Cakes or about 800 yards of #3 light weight yarn
- 5mm hook
Guage: 15st and 7 rows in 4”x4” square (double crochet)
