This a modification of Megan Delorme’s Easy Peazy Scarf/Shawlette (pattern page: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/easy-peazy-scarf-..., Essentially each row of the original pattern is worked twice to get a square that drapes like a handkerchief hem.
