The gauge for these mittens is 35 st and 35 rows in 4 inches.
That is for the finished and blocked mittens. The label of my yarn said 28 st in 4 inches so i guess I knit pretty tight.

To adjust size you can change needles/ yarn or by adding/ removing stitches on the sides of the mittens.

After the increases on the cuff knit one or two rows before you follow the patternchart.

One skein of each colour is plenty.

I did not include instructions for the Latvian braid because it would be to hard to explain. However there are several videos on youtube that shows how to make them.
