This is a removable pouch for storing various knitting supplies, made to conveniently hang off the end of a folding tray table, next to where you sit and knit. You can put things in it, and/or you can hang or “pin” things through it or on it. It also stores my scissors, tape measure, needles container, tweezers, etc. Slip the pouch on and off the table as needed - it is portable. This leaves the top of the table clear for other things, and no more tools falling off the table. I keep my knitting-lap-pillow and clip-on-electric-LED-lamp on top of the table when I am not using it. Now all those little knitting tools stay in one place. The trickiest part is how to attach the pouch to the band, but there are photos, and you can just hold the pouch where it goes and study which side of the pouch goes to which side of the band, and you can turn the pouch inside out and switch back and forth until you get it pinned right. (See photos). Otherwise, it is fast and easy. If you want one for a different table size or a deeper pouch, just adjust the number of rows or cast-on stitches, accordingly. To help keep the pouch from flopping open too wide after it is filled with supplies, tighten and shorten the top of the front of the pouch by folding and tucking in the ends, as described in the pattern.
