Who can resist lace edgings? This useful towel has a button and loop to hang on the stove or a drawer.

Towel is knit bottom up with the loop and buttonhole worked last. The horizontal lace edging is worked first, and then the stitches for the body are picked up and worked.

Size: 14” wide, 13.5” from the button to hem, loop is 6” long for a 3” deep loop

Yarn: 2 skeins Lily Sugar’n Cream Original (120yds/109m, 71g/2.5oz, 100% cotton) Shown in tangerine

Needles: US 8 (5mm) straight or circular as preferred, or size to obtain gauge

Tapestry needle, one 1” button, needle & thread

Gauge: 16-17 sts = 4” in garter stitch
