Hanila
The Hanila pattern is the fourth pattern in the collection inspired by a rich heritage of Estonian national costumes. The other blanket patterns in the series released to date are the Urvaste , the Peetri , and the Tartu.
The blanket is worked in one piece in a mosaic garter stitch, one of the easiest colourwork techniques. The mosaic might look intricate but fear not; it is fun and easy to make. Just one colour is used at a time no need to carry both yarns. Work two rows in one colour, then two rows in another colour, slipping stitches to create the pattern.
Different yarn weights and fibres can be used. Using different fibres affects the size of the blanket and the amount of yarn needed.
The pattern is tech edited and test knitted.
The pattern uses metric and imperial systems.
The mosaic pattern is charted. The charts are also given in reversed colours (in the separate file) for ease of use in case you decide to swap the light and dark colours in your blanket.
Put at least 3 single self-published patterns in your cart and get automatically 25% off your purchase.
