I designed Hank the Dog for my neighbor’s little girl. Hank was her special pet who had crossed over the rainbow bridge. I designed Hank from looking a pictures of him. This little girl was so happy when I gave her this hat. She will have Hank with her always now.

Hook sizes needed are based on which size hat you are making.

MATERIAL NEEDED:

Worsted weight yarn
Brown (approx 200 yds)
White (approx 20 yds)
Black (small amt)
6mm, 5mm, 4mm, 3.5mm hooks
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Poly-fil
Tapestry Needle

Stitches used and abbreviations:

Ch - chain stitch
St - stitch
Sc - single crochet
Hdc - half double crochet
MR - magic ring (if you do not like to use this, ch 2 and make the stitches in the first ch)
Sl st - slip stitch
Sctog - single crochet 2 together (decrease)
FO - Fasten off
