Hank the Giraffe! He’s a little different than the rest!
The main body is worked as one full piece. Starting from the bottom and working to complete the head.
You will be working in both continuous rounds AND short rows with this project. Short rows are how I obtain the realistic looking curves.
The legs are worked up in a way that it takes the “guess work” out of how they should be attached. Also giving them a more realistic look!
You Will Need
Yarn weight of your choosing -Hank in the photo is made using Worsted Weight yarn,
Worsted Weight Yarn Amounts -Main Color approx. 600yds, Secondary Color approx. 100yds.
Hook to match your chosen yarn that will allow you the tightest tension - I use a 3.5mm hook when working with worsted weight.
Stitch Markers
Optional: Safety Eyes. 24mm if using worsted weight.
Optional: Needle Felting Kit -this is my personal preferred method for the spots.
Poly Fiberfil
