Pattern Premise:
There once was a heroine named Terri who loved to knit and crochet and play with yarn. She worked at her Local Yarn Shop and was a member of the local guild. While working at her LYS, she was able to help the shop owner get ready for a brand new area yarn crawl, the North Texas Yarn Crawl. She saw how much work the Boss Lady put into it and how much she loved the little sheepy logo.
A week before the yarn crawl started its inaugural event, our heroine attended a guild meeting that had a class on double knitting. Now double knitting is her nemesis and she had not wanted anything to do with it before this day. She would not even try it for her friend’s pattern that used the technique.
Well, the guild class lit a fire in our heroine, and she wanted to do something for the Boss Lady to commemorate the inaugural yarn crawl. So, with pencil and graph paper she converted the North Texas Yarn Crawl logo into a double knit hot pad pattern.
Cue our heroine’s yarnie friends, near and far, to test the pattern, get it written up, and tech edit it so they would have a wonderful surprise with which the Boss Lady could launch for the yarn crawl. A variety of yarns were pulled (all available at Boss Lady’s shop).
Brainy Cat Designs had a blast bringing the outcome of this story to all of her friends who are participating in the first-ever North Texas Yarn Crawl. We hope you enjoy it.
Brainy Cat Designs sends an abundant amount of thanks to Tiny Tyrant Designs for helping bring this story to all of you.
