From the Knit Picks Website:
Summertime always seems to be lacking in hand knits to really wear. Sure you can have your hand knit purse, but the sweaters are so much harder to get right. So why not just go all out with a hand knit dress. The bold colored stripes in this not only make a fun summery statement when worn, but more importantly they break up the knitting process for the knitter. Pick bold colors like the sample or pick two neutral colors for a more subtle look.
The sample is knit to size 32, and used all but the smallest scraps of yarn. I am also very happy to report that this dress seemed to fit me even better after my current pregnancy began to show! The chevrons stretch out nicely, especially with the increasing needle sizes to enhance the drape of the skirt.
Needles: Size 5 (3.75mm) to Size 9 (5.5mm): circular needle
