Hannah’s Starlight Cowl is a classic, romantic style cowl designed to match perfectly with Hannah’s Starlight Beanie.

This relatively easy project can be completed in a few short hours, and is a great idea for a quick gift, or for selling at market stalls.

Yarn and Hook:
DK yarn has been used for this pattern, with a 5.5mm (US I-9) hook.

Gauge: 16 fsc US/ 16 fdc UK = 10 cm (4in)

Yardage:
Using under 100g of DK weight yarn (for almost every size, depending on your personal tension), this cowl can be made very economically. Perfect for that special single skein of hand dyed yarn you’ve been waiting for the right project for!

Sizes:
Available in 6 sizes, this cowl can be made to fit most members of the family from children to adults.The various sizes can be used not only for different ages and head sizes, but also for a closer fit. The XS can be worn by most adults as a close-fitting neck warmer, and the XL by these same adults as a drapey infinity cowl.

No gauge swatch is necessary with this pattern, simply begin your foundation round and check your gauge as you make this. (Usually not best practice, but OK for a small accessory like this one!)

If you’re choosing a different weight of yarn, your yardage and hook size will vary. Please choose a hook size that will give the desired amount of drape to your cowl.
