Ce projet a été créé dans le cadre du Festival Twist 2020, en partenariat avec Fibre Carpe Diem. J’étais à la recherche d’un modèle unisexe, confortable et passe-partout. Ce pull me rappelle entre autres les gros chandails d’hiver doudou que l’on porte tout près du feu pour se garder bien au chaud. Je vous ferai travailler quelques techniques différentes pour ce pull, soit la tresse latérale sur l’endroit et sur l’envers du travail et les torsades. Plusieurs schémas sont disponibles dans le patron pour vous aider à exécuter le modèle avec certitude. Sur la photo, il est présenté avec les manches bouffantes.

MATÉRIEL
Laine utilisée : Fibre Carpe Diem, worsted/aran, 100% laine Blue Faced Leicester, 100g – 165 mètres (yards…). Il vous faudra approx. :
• (5, 6, 7, 8) (10, 10, 11, 11) écheveaux ou (800, 930, 1100, 1250) 1550, 1680, 1720, 1800 mètres.
Aiguilles 4 mm/US6 et 5 mm/US8 avec un fil d’au moins 32 pouces ou 80 cm de longueur.
Aiguille à laine.
Marqueurs : 2 marqueur amovible (m1 et m2).
Matériel pour bloquer (facultatif).

ÉCHANTILLON
Avec les aiguilles 5 mm/US8, tricotez 20 mailles X 28 rang selon la charte torsades située à la page 9, pour obtenir un échantillon de 4 pouces X 4 pouces / 10 cm X 10 cm. Ajustez la taille d’aiguilles au besoin pour obtenir le bon échantillon. Lavez et bloquez légèrement.

TAILLES DISPONIBLES
Veuillez choisir une taille qui correspond entre 3 à 6 po / 8 à 15 cm d’aisance positive supplémentaire. La taille tricotée pour l’échantillon est Small, soit 38 ½ po / 98 cm avec 4 po / 10 cm d’aisance positive.

This project was created as part of the Twist Festival 2020, in partnership with Fiber Carpe Diem. I was looking for a unisex, comfortable and versatile model. This sweater reminds me, among other things, of the big plush winter sweaters that we wear close to the fire to keep warm. I’ll have you work out a few different techniques for this sweater, such as the lateral braid on the right side as well as on the wrong side of the work and the cables. Several diagrams are available in the pattern to help you execute the model with certainty. In the photo, it’s presented with the puffed sleeves.

MATERIAL
Yarn : Fibre Carpe Diem, worsted/aran, 100% Blue Faced Leicester, 100g – 165 meters (200 yards). You will need approx. :
• (5, 6, 7, 8) (10, 10, 11, 11) skeins or (800, 930, 1100, 1250) 1550, 1680, 1720, 1800 meters.
Needles : 4 mm/US6 and 5 mm/US8 with a cable of a minimum length of 32 in / 80 cm.
Tapestry needle.
Markers : 2 removable stitch markers as m1 and m2.
Blocking material (optionnal).

SWATCH
Using 5 mm/US8 knitting needles, work 20 stitches X 28 rows according the the cable chart situated on page 9, to obtain a 4 in X 4 in / 10 cm X 10 cm. Adjust needle size to obtain gauge. Wash and gently block.

AVAILABLE SIZES
Please choose a size that correspond to 3 to 6 in / 8 to 15 cm of positive ease. The sample shown in the pictures is size S 38 ½ in/ 98 cm with 4 in/ 10 cm positive ease.
