Hannu is a cardigan with a V-neck and long sleeves, featuring some color-blocking, eyelets and cables. The cardigan is worked top down in one piece with no seams. The body is primarily worked in Stockinette Stitch with some sections at the back and at the fronts in a simple Eyelet Pattern. The hem and the front bands are worked in a Cable Pattern. Buttons are added, so the cardigan can be worn closed. The sleeves are incorporated into the upper body, using the “simultaneous set-in sleeve method”, developed by Barbara Walker, then they are worked seamlessly in the round in an Eyelet Pattern and finished with a cabled cuff.

The pattern comes with two tutorials: “Measuring Yourself, Choosing a Size, and Adjusting for Proper Fit” and “Bust Darts in Top-down Knitting”. Use these tutorials to create a perfect fit for your own body.

Hannu ist eine Jacke mit V-Ausschnitt und langen Ärmeln. Gestrickt wird in verschiedenen Farbstreifen von oben nach unten in einem Stück ohne Nähte. Das Rückenteil und die Vorderteile sind – bis auf einige auflockernde Partien in einem einfachen Lochmuster – hauptsächlich glatt rechts gestrickt. Ein Zopfmuster ziert das Jackenbündchen und die Blende. In die Blende werden Knopflöcher eingearbeitet, so dass die Jacke auch geschlossen getragen werden kann. Die Ärmel werden nach der von Barbara Walker entwickelten „simultaneous set-in sleeve“-Methode gleichzeitig mit Rückenteil und Vorderteilen mitgestrickt. Später werden die Ärmel nahtlos in der Runde in einem Lochmuster fertiggestrickt und mit Ärmelbündchen in einem Zopfmuster abgeschlossen.

Der Anleitung sind zwei Tutorials beigefügt: „Maßnehmen, Größenwahl und Anpassungen an die eigene Figur“ und „Brustabnäher von oben nach unten gestrickt“. Mit Hilfe dieser Tutorials kann die Passform der Jacke an die eigene Figur angepasst werden.
